1748 - The Ballad Of The Fallen IV

After “1644 – The Ballad of the Fallen”, “1714 – The Ballad Of The Fallen II” and “1716 – The Ballad Of The Fallen III”, here is one more of the series.

It’s a crop and rotated by quite an angle, because while I was there I had no idea of how to frame it. Whatever I tried, nothing would fit.

The other image is of a table in front of a restaurant. It’s trivial to get three lines into corners. With four it is a different story 🙂

The Song of the Day is “The People United Will Never Be Defeated” from the 1982 Liberation Music Orchestra album “The Ballad Of The Fallen”. Hear it on YouTube.

A few years ago, I had a sudden invite to an impromptu evening of music by Pat Metheny and Charlie Haden. They didn't know that they were both in the UK at the same time, and when they found out they put on an evening of fantastic music that I'll never forget. Seeing Haden slumped across his instrument as if it was a part of him was amazing.

I was amused by reading the text messages on the wheel inserts. Something about "you must keep moving so you don't fall" or something like that! How appropriate to this image and the "Dutch angles" that you applied to it.

Yup. That was one of the things that caught me. Not that I can resist a bicycle or would even try to 🙂
