510 - Build a House Where We Can Stay

This is a case where coming back with another lens did the trick. I was at this site yesterday, had the Sigma 70/2.8 Macro mounted, and I simply could not catch the impression that I had. Today I came back and made the shot at 200mm. Apart from that, it was better weather anyway 🙂

The Song of the Day is “Build” from the 1987 Housemartins album “The People Who Grinned Themselves to Death”. See the video on YouTube.

A modern pueblo!

I'm oddly attracted to this image.

Me too. It's maybe the deceiving simplicity, which dissolves the longer one looks at the image? An interesting dynamic in an otherwise static, very angular image...

For me it's also the strange contrast between the concrete and the archaic wooden planks on the balconies. I know that this is only temproary, but in a way I see this, as if it were everything there's ever to be. As regards me, this actually may well be so, because I was there only by chance and it is not very likely that I return anytime soon.
