I’m in an awful hurry, so I’ll keep it short. This is the stairwell at my home in Vienna. Sigma 10-20 at 10mm and f8, some insanely high ISO, Noise Ninja, blurring and blending and what do I know.
The Song of the Day is the one that gave me the title, it’s “Steps Ahead” from De-Phazz’s album “Godsdog”, a nervous piece that perfectly fits my hurry 🙂

It is sad that I did not get here first, before Michael. Sigh... Now I have to just say, "Me Too" about all of the wonderful techique you show in ths capture. It just cannot be improved upon and the mystery of the swirling stairs is enticingly enhanced by the shadows into which they dissapear. It makes me wonder whether there are sounds that support this setting? You know, things that go bump or whirrr off in the distance? And wonder is a precondition to art, right?

Love the way the curves move through this image and frame the window. It looks very abstract, but is at once anchored in reality. The colors, too, are similarly interesting. I'm sure the purple and orange around the window and the windowsill are more the result of light and shadow than any paints you might have used, but they fit the piece nicely.
